80 Golfers registered and walked out onto the prestigious Glendower Golf Course ‘Home of the South African Open”
The day started with a warm welcome at registration with our ever charming head office team.
With caps, tee shirts, water bottles and a well supported mulligan sale where all donations have already been used to purchase necessities for one of the children’s homes we support.
We had Coca-cola on the 1st par 3 turning golfers into models as well as a closest to the pin on a par 3 competition.
Colette and the Koco-jelly team had a “MONSTER DRIVE” competition. Golfers had to hit a plastic ball with an actual Monster manhattan sausage. Unauthodox ? most certainly, but that what you would expect from the girls responsible for any creative design for Sausage Saloon.
New Style pork were sponsoring some serious cheese grillers on the next par 3 where there was a Sausage Saloon mobile unit up for grabs for any player lucky enough to get a Hole in one.
Chantelle and the office ladies were teaching golfers the real way to have tequila on the 17th and the round was finished up by a longest drive competition on the 18th.
Majority of the players would have see Jeremy and Titan storm media flying his drone around for some world class views of the day that the naked eye would have missed.
Duane and his team kept up the energy of all golfers with his legendary dry sense of humour and his sheer professionalism.
Tee to green, this golf day was nothing short of supreme.
We would like to thank each and every individual who took part in the golf day. Our aim was to make sure every player thoroughly enjoyed the day and with the amount of pre bookings received for next year we have compatibly achieved this. From the legendary Barry Steen chopping and changing dates at our request and helping Sausage Saloon make the day happen, Mike and Matt for setting the course up the way they did as well as Sandy for maintaining Glendower as possibly the best golf course in South Africa.
